There is a landing place/slipway opposite Harty Ferry from where you can walk into Oare. Does anyone know how long either side of HW it is useable?

We had a mooring there for a while. Other than LWS you can use it any time. Don't leave your dinghy there, some of the users are umm, interesting. We used to take ours up to the dinghy park and lock it there, technically a National Trust or RSPB thing but they were always quite happy.

Ditto for leaving a dinghy there - take it up to the Shipwrights Arms - can come ashore there somewhere. Or go right up the creek to the pub on the corner. Check the tides to make sure you can get out though.

Or take the dinghy up to Faversham - not sure where you can land, but there must be somewhere long there.

Cindy might know.

Or go over to the pub on the island - long slip there.

Thanks folks. Shipwrights is closed on a Monday but I hadn't thought of walking into Oare from there! Have done the Ferry Inn many times so looking for a change.

Ah, OK thanks. We were thinking of going ashore and walking to the pub. Don't have a lock with us so maybe not a good idea.

Done this couple of times. Can't remember what I did with the dinghy. Probably lobbed it on the bank to one side so it was less conspicuous.
