Who is around this weekend but not going off over the sea to Oostend?

It looks like there may be a bit of a meet around the Ramsholt area on Sunday.
Poss evening BBQ on the beach at the Rocks.
Anyone in the area?

Peter

Thanks for that.
A day that I have been looking forward to for a long time.

My last bottle of Jupiler is ready to make a offering to Neptune to encourage him to smile on us and keep her afloat.

I have all week to play with her and sort out any issues.

I hope you search is fruitful soon.

I think we are goign to Mistley Quay. There is a demo appparently.

I have a vision in my mind of the yachtie protesters being a sort of cross between a G20 anarchist and the Major from Fawlty Towers.

Shooting the Deben bar on Sunday around 14.00 following launch at Larkmans earlier, on our way to Pin Mill.

Wave as we pass Ramsholt.

Yacht is an Aphrodite 101 name 'Aphrodisiac' - Dizzy for short!

White hull, grey deck.

Clive, I'll pm you my mobile number so I can hopefully get some pics of Sirena under sail for you. I will be about on the Orwell sat/sun

Currently my plan is to sail to the promised land. aka Southwold. Haven't managed to get there before in Beyond Reason, things always conspire to defeat my ambition. If plans go pear-shaped again, could end up in the Deben, or the Ore, or - heaven forbid - Lowestoft!

Before the Lowestoftonians object, I only mean this in as much as if I end up in Lowestoft it will be because the tide has carried me past the Southwold entrance. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

What's Southwold like as a 'harbour? Know it well from the land.

Its a bit like a Cajun fishing village, all wibbly wobbly sticks and pontoons, the plan used to be, on the flood, crab from the safewater mark towards the breakwaters the tide is quite strong, when you get to the end turn half right and aim at the crane for the lifeboat, hug the quay until the end and then head half left towards the buoy, round it and sail on past the moorings turn around sharply before the bridge and head back up into tide and ferry glide expertly sideways into your mooring, the harbour master is usually there to help, tide is quite strong, but once you make the turn, the tide helps a lot.

Hia,

We launched today , so if you see Coxon in the Deben or poss Orwell or even the Backwaters give us a wave.

Hope you all have a great weekend

Rob
