Yep ok can't speel Franglee!

TG is following the lead of Cantata and is heading on holiday so NtM's will be suspended for two weeks - which hopefully might give the software company a chance to reply to my whinges about their recent 'upgrade'!:disgust:

As a quiz to keep you busy:

Cantata and TG went on holiday to different places
But they both went to islands beginning with 'M'
Cantata's SWMBO made him pick here, whereas
TG's SWMBO wanted more of this island
Where are they?

Them's some clues in there :D

The right answer is in there but none completely - Dick's in Madeira and we are in Mauritius where it is er raining!

What a pity you told us so quickly I have been thinking up islands for two days. Places like:
Mururoa - Not the place for a holiday
Moorea - Very much the place for a holiday.
Martinique
Melville
Macleay
Moreton
Macquarie
Madagascar
Mackenzie King
Manual Rodriguez
Manus
Maui
Mornington
Mustique

Some of them would be suitable for a holiday. Some might even be warmer than 29 degrees at this time of year. Some would be considerably colder.

Sorry but that list is food for thought for the next holiday - although it is kind of perfect here today - 'bout 30 degrees, blue sky with the old white fluffy cloud, F3 gusting 5 from the east so the westside of the island is in the lee. Lagoon is calm and there are 5 shades of blue sea. Can't wait to get back for fitting out.........

Where in Mauritius are you?
Been ourselves, plan to return and also have a client there (wonder what Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs would think of the travelling expenses claim..??!!)

29degrees? Pffffttt. Really bad for you old chap, all those rays. A tad fresher where we are but still a darn sight warmer than Blighty. The occasional refreshing shower as well, to calm the aching feet. Pining for an FB pie....

We are in Le Meridien, Pointe aux Pimentes, NW of Port Louis, the capital. Dawn has broken well again this morning. A Mauritian Heron is fishing in the lagoon just down by the breakfast table. Ab Fab.

Comms are rubbish though. Can't get any emails away. A personal visit to a client would be essential. Ex PM here is in deep pooh have been arrested for money laundering and found with suitcases full of money.

Staying out of them rays Dick. It's just so nice to be warm. I've found if you wait until 2pm, the swimming pool is blood temperature and no shock at all.

Arguably the east coast is generally prettier (of course) but I started using this hotel when I was working here because of its convenience to the capital. And now we are so well known it would be daft to go anywhere else.

Er, some of us have already got patchwork spinnies. I knew if I kept it long enought (51 years old) it would be back in fashion!

Sailcloth in image is top grade fertiser bags - that is bags in which top grade fertiser comes, not top grade bags! Some of those tuft are 'islands', some of them are drifting weeds
