7. Harwich Haven - Survey Operations – Morgan James 3 – Update 1 - the Morgan James 3 (callsign: MSKD5) is carrying out survey and water sampling operations from 03 January 2026 until 13 February 2026 as follows:

8. River Stour, Harwich Harbours and Walton Backwaters - Survey Operations – Taska Marine Challis 10 will be carrying out survey and water sampling operations in the River Stour and Harwich Harbour as follows:
VM ADCP1 51° 56.975’ N 001° 08.426’ E Upper River Stour
VM ADCP5 51° 57.136’ N 001° 17.606’ E Entrance River Stour / Harwich Harbour
• Spring surveys will take place on Monday 02 February to Friday 06 February 2026
• Neap surveys will take place on Tuesday 10 February to Saturday 15 February 2026
• The vessel will hold station at each location (or be at anchor) for a 13-hour period, except when required to clear the main channel by Harwich VTS
• A listening watch will be maintained on VHF 71
Survey works are also taking place in adjacent areas as follows:
VM Walton 51° 53.027’ N 001° 14.676’ E Hamford Water, Walton Backwaters
9. River Medway – Saltpan Reach - Grain LNG Jetty 10 – Maintenance Work - will be carried out on the Grain LNG Access Pontoon, located between LNG Jetties 10 and 8, work will commence this Thursday, 29th January 2026. Personnel will be working at the waterline, and the works are expected to
take approximately 4–6 weeks to complete. The safety boat “Westbourne” will be in attendance throughout and will maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 74. All commercial and leisure vessels should pass with caution, adhere to the LNG exclusion zones, and minimise their speed & wash when transiting the area. Further information may be obtained from Medway VTS on VHF Channel 74, call sign “Medway VTS” or telephone 0151 949 6148 or 0151 949 6650.
10.. River Crouch - Yellow Special Mark at the entrance to Burnham Yacht Harbour - in approximate position: 51°37.499 N, 000°48.238 E is temporarily off station.
11. River Crouch - Inner Whitaker Lighted Buoy in approximate position: 51°40.757 N, 001°08.400 E is unlit.
12. River Orwell - Oceanographic Surveying - will be conducted at 2 locations within the River Orwell. Spring surveys will take place between Monday 02 February to Friday 06 February 2026. Neap surveys will take place on Tuesday 10 February to Saturday 15 February 2026. Surveys will take place onboard Taska Marine Challis10. The craft will be on the location for a 13 hour period anchored, they will clear the main channel as required. A listening watch will be maintained on VHF CH68 at all times. 13. Sizewell - Installation of Swing Mooring - has now been installed. The confirmed position of the swing mooring is 52 13.8’N 001 38.9’E. The mooring will be utilised throughout upcoming construction works within Sizewell C Harbour and will moor a variety of vessels throughout the works until further notice. The buoy is lit by a light Fl Y 3s. A short floating mooring tail is attached to the buoy. Vessels may be transferred to the mooring buoy without notice accordingly mariners are advised to navigate this area with caution and be alert to vessel movements. 14. Sizewell C Harbour - Marine Construction Zone - will be established within Sizewell C Harbour with effect from 1st February 2026. A Marine Construction Zone (MCZ) is being established to accommodate a number of marine construction and associated service vessels for the duration of a period of increased construction activities to ensure the safety of mariners during this period. All vessels other than those engaged in the construction works are excluded from this area until the MCZ is removed. The MCZ will be implemented for an initial 12-month period from the date of this notice, which may be
extended at the discretion of the Harbour Master, subject to an ongoing review of Sizewell C construction programme. The MCZ will be defined by an area contained within the coordinates below;
