1. Annotation to the chart of the Upper Medway showing a rail bridge under construction at Holborough. East Coast Pilot first mentioned this in October last year (see http://www.eastcoastpilot.com/index.html, Latest News and scroll down. Aim is to provide a gap of 20m wide and 5m Air draft at MHWS during the works and 8m air draft when complete.
2. River Ore, Stoney Bitch, we may delete the 'Navigation Prohibited' annotation. That's a bit of a first since I've been doing this.
3. Vlissingen (aka Flushing), changed characteristics to the light on the western mole.
4. North Cross Sands, South Middle Cross Sand, South Cross Sand and Corten Sands, a number of depth reductions. Marked channels are ok.
5. Change of light characteristics to Foulger's Gat buoys as announced by thread earlier. Inner and Outer to be ISO 2.5s (Middle is staying at ISO 5s) and the range is upgraded to 5nm.

Temporary

1. Swale, the notice behind Dick's post on the Kingsferry Bridge a few days ago.
2. Lowestoft, a new AtoN created on the inland side of the bascule bridge.

That's it for notices.

I had hoped to be cheerfully saying that I had upgraded the CTTE web site. Well I have but I am not very cheerful about it as the software which is the latest recent offerings from the software house I have been using for years isn't working any more. While I was rebuilding the site, it wasn't very responsive being slow and flakey. But I managed to finish the new format and get it posted up on Friday. However, this afternoon, the programme has repeatedly crashed, and crashed, and crashed. The end result is that I was only able to complete the text of this week's NtM and I just cannot add illustrations for the last two. Further having tried to upload this week's notices, the programme has crashed again, this time hung mid upload. No response from the help line of course. Whether I will be able to get the notices up tonight I very much doubt but you have the gist of them here. If the worst comes to the worst, I have to replace it with the old format. Which would be a shame as this one includes some video guides to using the book (my wife says I am too grumpy in them!) and a new page giving links to live weather sites at sea in the southern north sea and eastern channel. There is a facility to sign up for Updates and of course all the usual downloads. And I think it looks 'nicer'!

I hope to resolve the problem in due course but I doubt it will be tonight so please bear with me. Those of you who use the site might need to check your Bookmarks. Have a look anyway. Feedback always appreciated.:encouragement:

Bizarrely I have managed to get the missing images in the Area lists and by uploading one by one I have got them on line. However, although all the text is in the 2015 list on the software and the things says it is uploading, it isn't. Don't you just love it! So the area lists are up to date.

Thanks as ever, Roger.
Just a picky point about your first - I think the new bridge across the upper Medway will be a road bridge, not rail. A new 'village' is to be built near it on the east side, the new bridge is to connect it to the Maidstone-Strood road that runs along the west side. As you say, projected air draught when complete will be 8m.

Aided and abetted by yours truly. Why on earth would I understand that a new version of the software worked differently! And how do you find that out anyway.
