Another easy week this week - which is good; little news is good news.

No UKHO notices in the monitor area. Only a temporary notce from Trinity House:

EAST COAST OF ENGLAND - CROMER LIGHTHOUSE -
A warning from Trinity House that the Racon on the Cromer Lighthouse from 28th November to 4th December 2022, will be unreliable due to maintenance work.

Local

1. RIVER THAMES - GRAVESEND REACH - DENTON WHARF DIVING OPERATIONS - On or about Friday 18th November 2022 until Friday 16th December 2022, diving operations will be taking place on the piles of Denton Wharf. Diving operations will be conducted from the vessel SCAFF FLOAT, and will be timed around low and high water periods. The chartlet indicates the locations of the diving operations: (Notices to Mariners for the image in the Local List). Mariners berthing at Denton Wharf should do so with cuation around the diving operations and should pay attention for where the diver has entered the water, which will be marked by a red entry flag.
Requests for vessels to proceed with caution or pass at slow speed will be made by London VTS on VHF Ch. 68, in accordance with the Port of London Authority’s Port Information Guide, under ‘London VTS’, section 4. SCAFF FLOAT will display International Code Flags ‘Romeo Yankee (RY)’, ‘Alpha (A)’ and a red flag in accordance with Byelaw 33 as appropriate: Any further details will be broadcast by London VTS on VHF Ch. 68.
2. Lowestoft Harbour and Approaches – Transits of Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs) - Activity – Operation of remotely piloted Unmanned Surface Vessels (USV) X-03 and X-09 (or substitute vessel of same type) – transiting to and from the Greater Gabbard Wind Farm from Lowestoft to complete survey operations. Dates – From Saturday 29th October until approx. 18th November, timing subject to suitable weather conditions for survey requirements. Transits of each USV will vary subject to operational requirements. They will mobilise from the Royal Norfolk & Suffolk Yacht Club. The chart extract below shows the proposed transit route. A support vessel will escort the USVs for transits in the Harbour and in the Approaches to the Port, monitoring VHF Ch14.
Although the vessels are unmanned, they are managed throughout each 24hour operation, piloted remotely using 360° cameras and are equipped with other navigational aids/markings, including AIS, Navigation Lights & sound signal, Active radar reflector, Superstructure painted yellow. Vessels are requested to give the USVs a wide berth where safe and practical to do so. 3. Buxey No 1 Lighted Buoy – River Crouch - NAVIGATION - Mariners are advised that the Buxey No 1 Lighted Buoy in approximate position: 51°39.178 N, 01°01.130 E is unlit.
