2. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depth. - This notice about one reduction of depth at Scroby Elbow (off Great Yarmouth) is identical to last week's NtM 3902 providing notice for the appropriate Small Craft Chart (SCC 5614.5 (Panel A).

1. RIVER THAMES - SEA REACH - TIDAL FLOW MONITORING EQUIPMENT - on or around 2nd November 2023, there will be a deployment of tidal flow monitoring equipment in two locations in Sea Reach; in the vicinity of West Oaze and off London Gateway. The equipment will be removed on or around 17th November 2023. Deployment will be carried out by the Port of London Authority vessel MAPLIN. It is important to note that this equipment has been strategically positioned to avoid any disturbance to under keel clearance and will not require the use of a surface marker. Exact positions of the equipment deployments are marked in red on the chartlets (on ther usual web page). Mariners are urged to exercise caution while navigating in these areas for the duration. Further details will be broadcast by London VTS on VHF Channel 68.
2. Latest Depths - Harwich Deep Water Channel - a recent survey has identified reduced depths (minimum 15.1m below chart datum) in the Harwich Deep Water Channel west of No. 1 and No. 2 buoys. See the hydrographic survey extract on the usual web page for further details.
3. Harwich Harbour & Approaches- Seasonal Recreational Marks - On or around the 25 October 2023, the following seasonal recreational marks will be withdrawn -

4. Lowestoft Outer Harbour – Ground Investigation Works - Mariners and Port Users are advised that ground investigation works are scheduled to be undertaken in Lowestoft Outer Harbour area. Works will be undertaken from barge Haven Seastabler. Works are scheduled to commence from Tuesday 31st October. Duration of works approx. 3 weeks. Working hours will be 0700hrs to 1900hrs. The barge will be supported by work boats Taska 1 and TM Star. Vessels will be monitoring VHF Ch14 when working. The barge will be marked by flashing yellow lights if moored along area of works (see diagram below), during hours of darkness. Picture is available on the usual webpage in the Local List. Vessels are requested to afford the barge a wide berth and pass at slow speed to reduce vessel wash. Please contact Lowestoft Port Control – VHF Ch14, Tel. 01502 572286 (Option 3) if further information is required.
5. The Wash Ports – River Nene - Cross Keys bridge Bird netting and Safety vessel – the Bird netting on the underside of the Cross keys bridge will be undergoing remedial works,on 30th October 2023 – 1st November 2023 the charted height of the netting is temporarily reduced. Mariners are therefore advised to apply a further 1-meter reduction to air draft if transiting under the Cross keys bridge. A Safety Vessel will be on site on standby while all under quay work is taking place. Mariners are requested to maintain a listing watch on VHF 09 when transiting within the Harbour Limits.
