1. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depth. - One reduction of depth just east of the Scroby Elbow SHB. In week 37 (NtM 3088) we had a series of reductions of depth along the west edge of the South Scroby sands so this reduction is added (in blue) to the previous image. All images at Notices to Mariners
2. ENGLAND - East Coast – Depths - 4 reductions of depth in the River Thames, one in the centre of Bugsby Reach, a second on the edge of the channel of the Reach and two soundings off North Greenwich Pier.

1. RIVER THAMES - BARKING REACH - BARKING BARRIER CLOSED TO NAVIGATION - On or about Tuesday 24th October 2023 contractors will be undertaking lifting operations as part of the ongoing Barking Barrier work. These works will take place between 2 hours after high water and 2 hours after low water and are expected to last 4 days. During these works the barking barrier will be closed to navigation, as detailed: Tuesday 24th October 2023, 1125 to 1815; Wednesday 25th October 2023, 1300 to 1940; Thursday 26th October 2023, 1410 to 2055; Friday 27th October 2023, 1500 to 2150. When closed to navigation the arch closed to navigation will be marked in accordance with the Port of London Authority Thames Byelaws (2012), as depicted - by three red discs (or by night, three red lights) in an equilateral triangle apex-down. The guard boat HUSKY will be on station maintaining a listening watch on VHF Channel 14. Further details will be broadcast by London VTS on VHF Channel 14.
2. RIVER THAMES - HALFWAY REACH - BELVEDERE POWER STATION JETTY - TEMPORARY BUOYS - On or about Monday 30th October 2023, for a period of up to 5 weeks, three temporary yellow pellet buoys will be positioned in vicinity of the derelict Belvedere Power Station Jetty. The purpose of these buoys is to mark the proposed location of a new jetty and allow manoeuvring trials to take place. Contractors working on behalf of Cory Group will lay the buoys during the week commencing 30th Oct 2023 and recover them at the end of the trial. The three yellow pellet buoys will be lit by night, with a Fl Y(2)5s light. They will be positioned at:
• 51°30.36’ N 000°09.53’ E • 51° 30.40 N 000°09.54’ E • 51° 30.41 N 000°09.55’ E
During the laying and recovery of the buoys requirements to proceed with caution or at slow speed will be made in accordance with the procedure set out in the Port of London Authority’s Port Information Guide, under ‘London VTS’, ‘Section 4’. When this is applicable, ‘RY’ signals will be displayed. Masters of passing vessels should have due regard for the effects of their wash including the possibility of rebound from the river wall and the combined effect of wash from other vessels.

3. Harwich - Cross Buoy Light Restored
Mariners are advised that the Cross Buoy light has been repaired and the light sequence restored.
4. Depth in River Stour (Update 4) - the minimum depth in the River Stour has now been restored to 0.7m (below Chart Datum) based on the latest survey data (19 October 2023). This channel remains subject to future siltation and for the latest information contact Harwich VTS (VHF 71). This notice replaces 63-2023 Reduced Depth in River Stour – Update 3 which is now withdrawn. See the new chartlet in the Local List.
5. River Medway - Saltpan Reach - London Thamesport Diving Operations and CP Installation Works Underneath the Quay. - a programme of work including diving operations is due to commence at London Thamesport Terminal. The work is the next phase of cathodic protection (CP) installation to the existing tubular piles supporting the London Thamesport quay deck. Work will commence on or around Monday 23/10/2023 with an estimated completion date of 12/11/2023, all works will be carried out by a small workboat and/or a floating work platform which will be lifted in/out daily by quayside crane. The works team will liaise daily with the terminal supervisors who will advise them of expected vessel movements. The dive supervisor will monitor VHF channel 74 at all times and notify Medway VTS when divers enter and exit the water, call-sign for the divers is “Ocean Kinetics Divers”. All vessels arriving/departing London Thamesport should confirm the status of diving ops prior to berthing/unberthing. All passing ships and leisure craft should navigate with caution and reduce their wash appropriately. Admiralty Chart No. 1834 refers. 6. PORT OF GREAT YARMOUTH - Notice of Opening of Haven Bridge – UPDATE - Please be advised that Peel Ports inform that Haven Bridge is temporarily closed with immediate effect. During this time there will be no bridge lifts for a temporary time. Further NtM will be issued once the bridge re-opens. Haven Bridge is a double-leaf bascule bridge which opened in 1930. The span between the abutments is 26.8m. The span between the leaves at full open position is 24m (minimum span at height 18.3m above Chart Datum).In the closed position the maximum air draught (between the arrow boards) is 4.3m at Chart Datum.

Port of Wisbech Authority - River Nene - UPDATED Cross Keys bridge Replacement Hydraulic Ram works - there will be some scaffold erected on eastern end of the underside of the Cross keys bridge while undergoing maintenance works Starting on the from the 5th to 15th November 2023 for a this short while the charted width of the opening temporarily reduced ,by 1.0 m Mariners are therefore advised transiting under or through the Cross keys bridge to take care of the obstruction. A Safety Boat is on site for the duration of the works in Daylight hours only. This LNTM will remain in force until cancelled.
