1. One for those in the Wash - 5 reductions of depths on the Burnham Flats;
2. A depth reduction on the approaches to the Hook of Holland but deep enough not to worry us.

2. M2 Motorway Bridge, Medway - remedial work on the Piers from 6th to 20th October (approx).
3. River Crouch - two broken posts on Wallesea - as reported by Jim. Marked by an orange and a blue markers buoys.
4. Great Yarmouth - Haven Bridge closures and works - 27th October until 9th January, 2015 - See notice on web site for procedure
5. Great Yarmouth - Diving works on berths 5C and 6A now should be completed by 8th October
6. Lowestoft - works on the Town Quay have resumed and will carry on until the end of the year. Obstructions on the sea bed described in the notice.

It is surprising that Medway Ports haven't put a temporary marker or markers on the very substantial East Swale wreck.Someone is likely to clout it when tacking or deciding where to moor during daylight,let alone at night.On a spring tide only the thin antenna is showing and in a chop the visible upcurrents will be concealed.

I suspect it is out of the Medway Ports area? Maybe a Trinity House affair but we know from the Crebe sinking near the Nass at West Mersea responsibility for marking this sort of thing is not very clear.

It's clear in this case. Medway Ports is the harbour authority for all the Swale, it is in their area, out to Shell Ness in the East.

In my experience they are usually quite prompt in clearing sunken 'small' craft if they are a hazard, but this is not exactly small and it may be that they don't have the equipment at hand to do it.
