UKHO and Trinity House Permanent/Preliminary/Temporary Notices
1. BELGIUM - Light. Buoyage. - Change of light characteristics on the OostendBk-E light buoy on the northern approaches to Ostend and a change of buoy from a yellow special buoy to North Cardinal at the ‘cluster of buoys marking the approaches to Nieupoort. Two images at Notices to Mariners
2. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - Four reductions of depth just off the jetties upstream of the QEII Bridge. Unlikely to hinder leisure craft (or there!)
3. ENGLAND - East Coast - Legend. - The Small Craft Moorings legend has been deleted in the River Medway just north of Sun Pier
4. Trinity House Notice - North Holm, Middle Corton & West Corton Buoys in the Holm Channel - All three buoys were moved by the THV Galatea on 4th Juky. The gap between the North Holm and the Corton Buoys is reduced. The image on the above quoted page shows the new positions and the locations.

1. SEA REACH TO GALLIONS REACH - CLIPPER – AROUND THE WORLD RACE ARRIVAL -
FRIDAY 29th JULY 2022 – PRINCES CHANNEL AND SEA REACH - As a part of the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race, 11 yachts will be racing into the Thames via the Princes Channel, to a finish line 200m South of Southend pier. All participating vessels are instructed to adhere to local regulations as well as the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea 1972. Yachts will stay overnight in the Southend Small Ship (SSS) Anchorage. Vessels are advised to navigate the area with caution. AIS Callsigns are CV 20 - CV31 (no CV24)
SATURDAY 30th JULY 2022 – SEA REACH - GALLIONS REACH - The yachts will depart SSS Anchorage 0845 to form a parade of sail inbound to the King George V Lock. On arrival KG V all 11 yachts will be locked in to continue the parade of sail.
In order to support this event, the attending Harbour Service Launch call sign Prefix ‘THAMES PATROL’, will be escorting the 11 Yachts inbound on the parade of sail. All vessels are to navigate in this area with caution, maintaining a continuous watch on VHF Channel 68 and 14 and follow the instructions from the attending Harbour Service Launch. The Clipper Race Fleet will depart King George V Dock early morning (approx. 0600) on Monday 01 August and proceed independently on their return passage back to Portsmouth Harbour. Further details will be broadcast by London VTS on VHF Channel 68 and 14.
2. Harwich Harbour - Dredging Operations – Siskin - on or about the 14 July 2022 the agitation dredger Siskin (IMO no. 9563201) will commence agitation dredging in the harbour, for a period of approximately 3 to 4 weeks. Detailed dredger movements can be obtained from Harwich VTS on VHF Channel 71.
3. Harwich Harbour - Dredging Operations: Rotterdam and Vox Amalia - From around the 09 July 2022, the trailing hopper suction dredge Vox Amalia (IMO number: 9768588) will join the dredger Rotterdam which is currently dredging the deep water channel. The Vox Amalia and the Rotterdam will be disposing of material at the Inner Gabbard East disposal area. The dredgers will be operating in various sections of the deep water channel, seaward of the Fort Buoy, in Areas G to B as shown below. For detailed information regarding the location of the dredging plant, please contact Harwich VTS (VHF 71) or listen to the daily Channel Deepening VHF broadcasts (VHF 11). 4. MARITME DECLARATION OF HEALTH – Cancellation of NtoM / NASBO - following discussions with the Port Health Authorities the following Notice to Mariners and NASBOs are cancelled with immediate effect.

COVID-19 and Vessels - The UK Government and the Association of Port Health Authorities have issued guidance that it is no longer a routine requirement for vessels (other than cruise ships), arriving in the Port of London District from outside UK waters, to submit a Maritime Declaration of Health (MDH). Vessel operators and pilots are advised to continue to exercise vigilance by following well established precautionary measures which help to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Standing Requirement under International Convention. A ship's Master, arriving in the London Port Health Authority district must notify the London Port Health Authority (LPHA) of any suspected infectious disease or death on board his vessel other than by an accident. Reporting illness on board a vessel - City of London. Any questions relating to ship’s declaration of health should be directed to:

5. Approaches to King’s Lynn – King’s Lynn Harbour - River Great Ouse. International Hanseatic Water ski events - Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th August 2022.
Mariners are advised that International water ski races and other waterborne events are planned to be held in King’s Lynn Harbour on Saturday 6th August over the 1246 hrs high water and on Sunday 7th August 2022 over the 1402 hrs high water.
The full course will extend from the Cut pylons to south of the Boal Quay. There will be turn buoys placed in the river for the duration of the races & each race should last upto 30 minutes. Safety boats will maintain position to the north and south of the course and will advise boat owners accordingly. Mariners are requested to maintain position north or south of the course while each race is taking place and then navigate with caution and comply with any request of the safety boats
If large commercial vessels are arriving or departing ABP Docks King’s Lynn the timing of races and extent of the course may be altered. Launching and recovery of craft will be taking place at South Quay 6 Berth. SQ6 and the visitor pontoons have been fully booked over the duration of the weekend and there are no moorings available for any fishing vessel or leisure craft on any of the River side quays or mooring buoys. These craft travel at high speed when racing and safety marshals will be monitoring each race. Large numbers of spectators are expected on the riverside and the South Quay will have a road closure in force. Any Vessel wishing to move during the races are requested to Contact the Harbour Master well in advance in order to obtain a possible time slot. The Harbour Master will be maintaining a listening watch on VHF channel 14.
