RIVER THAMES - Limehouse Reach - Pile Obstruction - Investigations
On or about Monday 6th January 2025, contractors will be carrying out Pile Obstruction Investigations in the vicinity of Hilton Pier and Canary Wharf Pier, for approximately 1 week. The general location of works is indicated by the three red boxes on the chartlet.
Investigation works will be conducted from the vessel SOPHIA D or similar, which will moor within the marked areas via spud legs. An excavator on deck of the vessel will conduct the investigation. During the works, requests for vessels to proceed with caution or pass at slow speed may be made by London VTS on VHF ch.14, in accordance with the Port of London Authority’s Port Information Guide, under ‘London VTS’, section 4. International Code Flags ‘Romeo Yankee (RY)’ will be displayed accordingly. Further details may be broadcast by London VTS on VHF Channel 14.
