Not very exciting this week - in fact, not exciting at all:

Permanent

1. Couple of minor depth reductions in the Thames jsut by Dartford Creek and opposite Fords. Not likely to hinder leisure craft;
2. Notification of an obstruction (at 12.8m by Sea Reach No 1) in the Yantlet channel and a new depth of over 121 meeting west of the W. Oaze SWB. Not likely to hinder leisure craft;
3. Couple of slight reductions in depth south of the Sandettie and just SW of the Ruytingen. Not likely to hinder leisure craft;

Temporary

1. AIS is now working on the Sunk Inner and Foxtrot No 3 light floats (F3 is on the western edge of the TSS sort of due east of North Foreland).
2. North Pier Head light at Yarmouth has being temporarily moved a small distance of 3 metres until 1800 on Friday;
3. Work on Lowestoft Town Quay - the repairs have been temporarily suspended leaving some debris still on the sea bed which are marked.

That's it. 'Fraid I am holiday next week for two weeks so notification will spasmodic.

Thank you. I am going to that other Island beginning with 'M'. I might just take out one of those beach catamarans inside the reef. There is definitely an uncharted rock in the lagoon. Occasionally its marked with a plastic bottle. There again, I might just drink rum cocktails.......

I have, however, got to finish my report on that place beginning with 'N'. There is just so much to write about that needs fixing! Actually had an interesting conversation about 419 frauds (which had nothing to do with why I was there). The cops out there cannot understand why Westerners fall for the scams. They reckon that if the guys made no money out of it, it would stop over night. But they do, so it doesn't.
