6. Brightlingsea Harbour - Dredging Operations - Brightlingsea Harbour, in conjunction with dredging contractor Van Oord, will be conducting dredging operations within Brightlingsea Marina and Harbour. Operations are scheduled to commence on Friday 20th February 2026 and are expected to be completed by 1st April 2026, subject to weather and operational conditions. During this period, Brightlingsea Marina will be closed, and no access will be permitted either by water or on foot for the duration of the works. Van Oord will be operating two vessels, Baldr and Havik, both of which will maintain a listening watch and be contactable on VHF Channel 68 at all times. Dredging operations will be conducted during ebb tides only and will take place during daylight hours and at night. The accompanying images illustrate: The outer marina dredging perimeter and pipe placement, The full dredge area,

All mariners are requested to exercise caution when navigating in the vicinity of the works and to comply with any instructions issued by Brightlingsea Harbour staff or the dredging contractor. 7. Sizewell Harbour - Construction of CDO DESAL - on or about 19th February works will commence upon the installation of three subseabed pipelines within Sizewell C Harbour. The works will comprise the sequential boring and lining of three tunnels –
• Combined Drainage Outfall – to discharge to sea treated wastewater from the main construction site.
• Desalination plant intake – sea water intake to desalination plant
• Desalination plant outfall – discharge of surplus sea water back to sea
Vessels engaged in these works include JUB NP497, Multicat Paul D and C-Odyssey, Workboats – CDefender, C-Spartan, Kirkwall Bay, CTV Celtic Avenger (indicative marine plant representation below). Additional vessels may join the project as appropriate. The construction area will be contained within SZC
Marine Construction Zone as per the coordinates below and is demarcated with two yellow special marks Fl Y 5s.

Vessels will transit frequently through the harbour to and from the MCZ and the floating swing mooring (That's No 6 above - it's going to be busy!)– mariners are requested to navigate with extra vigilance during these works. Towards the end of the works the pipe pull-through operation will entail the multicat C-Odyssey lying to a four-point mooring spread close to the JUB during which time the vessel will be severely restricted in her ability to manoeuvre. All vessels should maintain 500m exclusion zone at all times when passing the Jack-up Barge and the support vessels during diving operations. Vessels are requested to pass at the lowest speed to avoid vessel wash effects. Mariners are requested to exercise additional vigilance and maintain an effective lookout when transiting the harbour during this period of raised marine activity. All vessels engaged in this operation will abide by and display shapes and lights required by the COLREGS. Vessels will monitor VHF Channels 12 & 16.
