THIS NOTICE IS POSTED IN GOOD FAITH,

POLITE NOTICE TO MARINERS.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, all mariners and third parties, visiting Penarth Marina, South Wales,

PLEASE BE ADVISED..

As of midnight, 10th January 2003, The Houseboat M.V. Picton will not have effective third party and public liability insurance cover.

We respectfully request that all marina users exercise extreme caution in the vicinity of this vessel, situated at berths 17 and 18, on G pontoon.

A while ago there was a small campaign on this site to protest about the marina trying to evict the Picton .

I and several others Emailed our protest to the Marinas management.

The basis of my Email was that you were not breaking marina rules so why should you be evicted .

If you dont get insurance you WILL be breaking marina rules and they will then have good reason to evict.

The marina would have good cause to worry about public liability issues and also (God Forbid)the huge cost of wreck removal in the event of a fire or sinking.

Very basic third party insurance can usually be obtained without surveys relatively cheaply.

URGENTLY REQUIRED..

THIRD PARTY, BASIC INSURANCE POLICY, WHICH DOES NOT REQUIRE THE NEED OFAN OUT OF WATER SURVEY.

Anyone who believes that they may be able to offer some help or advice in this regard, is kindly invited to submit further details by personal message.

Try St Margarets www.stminsurance.co.uk They insured us without survey so could be worth a look.Theres usually a page full of insurers in PBO
