No new UKHO Permanent NtM in the monitored area.

Temporary

1. Harwich - Routine dredging for Felixstowe and Harwich berths for 9 days from on or about 3rd January, 2017. Disposal at the Inner Gabbard site as usual.
2. Ramsgate - They 'bring forward' the standing NtM at the beginning of the Year each year. So there are probably no new issues.

Port Signal Lights. This repeats the usual light arrangements;
Communications - for shipping and leisure craft - the usual arrangments;
General - Oil pollution in the harbour - regulations for shipping or leisure craft: Transiting the Ferry turning cirle - forbidden including the raising or lowering sails of leisure craft;
Speed - limited to 5kts max!

That is that.:encouragement:

Just when I thought that must be that for the week by 2pm on the Eve before the Christmas Eve - WRONG!

New temporary NtM by the Crouch Harbourmaster:

Essex Marina will be undertaking Maintenance Dredging Operations in the approach to and within Essex Marina, Wallasea Island, Essex, between the 4th January 2017 and 31st March 2017. Small sections of pontoon may temporarily be placed onto Essex Marina’s Swinging Moorings which at night will be marked with a red light. Caution should be taken when entering and leaving the Marina whilst Dredging Operations are in progress.

Hi Roger,

Your dedication to this wonderful service and to surveying the lesser swatchways of the Estuary for the benefit of fellow yachtsmen is both wonderful and remarkable in this modern rushed age. Thank you. I wish you a peaceful and enjoyable Christmas and many years of happy cruising in the future.

Peter
