Relocated a few boats in the marina, we had an old wooden (90 years old) sink at her berth.

Off for a motorbike ride (Triumph Bonneville) now..........hopefully I will be knackered later....:D

not my best day, boats where fine. washed rib, and popped a 44 twin hull something or other from Gosport to Hamble, interesting unberthing off a sling and with no steering on upper helm wheel, upper helm just need system needs bleeding, and berthing with cross winds, but being a lady she did as asked. but was grumpy with some people I know. so some good some bad.!!!!

What have I done, let me see... oh yes, checked with the manufacturer that the boat we offered on had been looked after, checked the broker is kosher, checked the Pt 1 register, lined up finance, reviewed the terms of the agreement... and signed it!

All being well survey by Jim Prichard and VolvoPaul will be next week. Counting chickens, but we're on the boat on Sunday to see what extras we need to think about.

Wish me well and I'll post pics when (and if, crossed fingers) it goes through.
 
After helping with the lock repair I got to drive this strange craft.

What is she powered by?

Laying buoys. It is powered by two outboards. We used it today as a platform for the two drysuited poor sods who had to wade up to their necks in freezing cold water to fix the lock chains.

I expect they are both still taking frequent hot baths.
 
Went off to Fairline Southampton to choose the new interior for the boat. Maxmara chocolate anybody? Saw powerskipper in the soon-to-be-ex-Fairline shed. Went down to the boat this evening to see what the new name lights look like in the dark. Bright, is the unsurprising answer...

The Sea Survival Course was a bit of an "eye opener" as well.
Definately going to have a very close look at my lifejacket when I next get to the boat and see how well it fits.
SWMBO and I will also be trying our LJs out (inflated) in the Sant Carles swimming pool to see how easy (or difficult) it is to do various tasks.

Since last servicing our life raft when we were able to see it inflated, we have been happy with the contents so there were no big surprises to us with the life raft. In fact, all of us on the course found it easier than expected to get into the raft - probably due to the techniques taught.

I borrowed a lifejacket because ours are all on the boat. The borrowed LJ turned out to be a bad fit and showed me just how difficult (and dangerous) it can be if fitted incorrectly. I've been sailing all my life, most of the time wearing just buoyancy aids. I've always viewed LJs, in general, as one of those things that you just put on but this course convinced me that EVERYONE should test their LJs (perhaps in a swimming pool) first. I will definately be checking how well mine fits.

Great course - everyone should do it.
