Have just returned from NWSpain/Portugal. Some new marinas opening up. In the area you are thinking of Viveiro would be a good option. Small, friendly, good security and currently cheap, even on a daily basis.

Friends of mine left their boat for 2 years in Povoa de Narzim. Well guarded.

When I sailed down that coast I was looking for a cheap safe place and decided that Caraminal in the Ria de Arosa would be my choice. It's small and it's guarded and the mooring lines are massive.

However, Figueira da Foz, also guarded, was cheap by UK standards. A 42 footer there was paying £18 p.w. which would have been less for longer term.
