This was our first get together with forumites as newbies and also our first overnight stay away from P D.

Thanks to HLB for organizing the do, you wouldn't believe how much the HM charged us to put MF on a seperate pontoon!

Thanks to Tom, Babs, HLB and Debs for all the hospitality, food and drinks, and The Major for the bacon and, despite what he says, escorting us home, thanks to Andy and June for the tasty Fish and chips, and last, but by no means least, thanks to James for ferrying us ashore to 'exercise' the dogs on demand.

The fish and chips were very welcome.

It was Babs Birthday the day before, the flowers were a nice display on Littleship

The HM recompensed us by only charging us £13 for the night and nothing for the next night, he even had the courtesy to phone me to say it was free. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

In recompense for the feelings shown. We are making a movie when we arrive home. THe plot is unclear yet, but the music has been chosen.

It will be to the tune of Thunderbirds are go, as MF turns on her engines and her afterburners are lit. Piles of smoke and flames. Then the Benny Hill tune as the little un's turn up, with the finale being Little Ship arriving to the tune of. Steptoe and Son. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Kwackers thinks we should have another do soon, being as he missed the last one. I recon it should be at the "secret Harbour" No HM as I know of, but on the last reconoiter, the locals seem calm and friendly. No pub that Iknow of, but very protected. Do we really need a pub?? Can some one do some exploration and fact finding. Dont want to upset the fishy men, or get up at 4 AM. Seems loads of room for us lot. Maybe need some mooring posts bashed in. Loads of room for dogs, parrots and barbies. Dont think any one to bother us.

Fishy men said tie up to the pilot lot as they never go any where., this needs confirming. Also there are loads of H walls. Is there water under them. Recon the major needs to scout it out.

Many thanks for making the arrangements, especially for the weather.

I hadn't been into Conwy for several years. The additional buoys make the entrance much easier. £13 to the HM is a small price to pay, even though I was sent to Coventry on a swinging more near the bridge.

Thanks for posting the pic's and I am looking forward to Haydn's Video.
It looks like a good time was had by all, Nice to see some old faces I have met in the past.
Sorry I could not make it even over land. I was encumbered by picking up an ex TNT 7.5 ton waggon from just south of London over the W/E, a 2002 Ford Ivaco Tector 75e to convert to a horse box it should be a bit of an improvement on our old 1978 Ford 'D' series when finished. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Cheers David.

Dunno where the 'secret harbour' is but we're up for it if it's within our range and somebody reveals the secret to us beforehand.

Don't think Pub is essential, we could all just bring more booze, Specially if Kwackers is turning up!

Off now to ponder where I can squeeze a fridge in..........

Great photos - obviously a good time was had by all. Up for the next one - Haydn's "secret harbour" is Amlwch, I think. Hope everyone likes climbing ladders /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Andy

Dont need a ladder at all, just walk off MF's fly bridge. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It looks a great place, but never went ashore. It was built in the 70's for the oil platform servicing, now abandand and taken over by fishermen and the odd pilot boat. It's near the brick works if that helps. Needs a bit more sussing out as I said. Can some one pop round there and weigh it up. Loads of space in the drying parts, but thats not what we're after.

Thats the place. Perfect, but it's hardly on the map. Loads of deap water in the first half of the harbour, but just which bit is best, without disterbing the fishy men. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
