Soon, yes. They are at the moment very nervous of it once it passes 20 knts. After 25 it throws out so much spray with all aboard it drenches them.

Put in some foot straps on the deck. A must for staying aboard ?

Just to remind us all of what real life looks like, here is the last promised leg of the September 2020 cruise.
Having got to Aberystwyth [previous legs also on YT], this is some clips of the town, harbour / marina then the trip back.

The weather window in late September may not happen again for a few years. It was gorgeous the whole week with little wind and even the tides were great!

Its not a pro compilation, just clips from my cheap phone thrown together, but hopefully its worthy of 10 minutes of your lockdown.

For all the dreamers out there, great boating and adventure is available in the UK in an affordable boat. Ours is 1985, single petrol with outdrive. Breaking convention, the proof is the pudding.

My friend taking us back into Koundam yachthaven at the end of a very wet day.

We have planned a repeat performance this coming summer on something a little larger and for 2 weeks on the canals

Typical eh?! Who made the booking? Hope they got the first round in when you got back!
A day out on the water is still worth it in the rain, you get a different atmosphere and experience. That boat you hired had some decent cover, at least the crew were happy! ?
