North Wales Boat Show

Anybody been? Any good?

Popped in Saturday for a couple of hours.
Sunday am was that bad weather wise, I cancelled a Gig on the water.
So I nipped in again, some said the £7.50 inc parking was a bit expensive.

No prob for Me.
Farmers hat on and sidled in undercover of a few Sheep mates of mine.

The setting at Faenol is always spectacular whatever the weather.

First impressions were good.
Didn,t go for the inaugral show last year.

I thought the Bash would be just another car boot sale type jumble thinghy.
I thought the whole thing was quite Proffesional.

By 16.00 Mr R Shead from MBM had sold out of Magazines (albeit at a quid a copy) however I did record the fact that He had signed quite a few peeps up for Subscriptions.

Then I nicked His Promotional desk just as He turned His back before leaving!

So far, free admission and a handy bit of kit for further use.

Speaking to various exhibitors---

'Sold 4 boats, more than I did at Southampton'

'Sold 3 boats, well 1 was just a follow up from a pre show enquiry'

'Better than We thought, didn,t bother last year'

'Pleasantly suprised'

'Sold very little but had some real positive feedback and some good contacts'

'Sold nowt but will come again cos the Area is lovely and got pissed last night'!

So a varied but encouraging reaction from most.

Oh! bought some cheap wellies.
And a new cleaning product called Chine Shine.
Paste on rinse off kinda stuff.
Works, tried it.

Plus some nav software

To run off the lappy.
Normally a paper and pencil nav man.
But this seemed simple to Me.

Suprised at the numbers of peeps attending Sunday.
What with the weather and Moto GP on the telly.
Oh!
And there was a Car Race on the telly too!

Normally, as a quiet retiring type I don,t usually report in such detail.
Just up early planning todays activities on the Straits.
Motivated me to put finger to keyboard before I fergets what went on!
