I've inherited a Steepletone record deck which records vinyl to mp3 on a USB stick, and I'm trying to transfer my vinyl collection to digital.
As the manual says it creates a folder /AUDIO on the memory stick. I follow the recording protocol and the stick plays back through the Steepletone unit ok.
However, when I plug the USB stick into my PC I see the /AUDIO folder but it is reported to be empty. I've tried all the permission/attrib setting tricks eg attrib -h -r -s /s /d g:\*.*
Still no files visible. MS Media Player says that the stick is empty.
I put the stick back in the recording unit and it plays ok, shows the number of tracks.
I've treble checked the instructions and tried various combos of operation but without any luck.
Sure I could just keep my music on the stick, but that doesn't suit my needs. Any gurus out there with ideas? (no I haven't yet tried the Steepletone helpline).
