Noisy eberspacher pump

I installed our pump next to the fuel tank and immediately below my pillow when sleeping.

I've started having strange dreams involving ticking bombs, a weird rhythmic knocking on the door and worst of all, a heartbeat that stops occasionally!

Whoever put the heater in Ariam mounted it on the aft cabin bulkhead (cockpit locker side) in perfect sounding-board configuration. It's quite acceptably quiet in the saloon, but in the aft cabin . My rule is simply to turn the heater off at bedtime; it shouldn't be necessary overnight anyway.

Slight thread drift. I am considering this 10L seperate fuel tank

Does anyone know what the dimples are? Are they fastening points for screws? And does the fuel line attach to the bottom without using the normal fuel pickup?

They are mounting points as you surmise and also stiffen the moulding up a bit, they are actually radiator reservoirs for some big truck or other but make quite nice fuel tanks for heaters. I have taken the fuel using a standpipe when I have fitted them. Save a bob or two getting one here. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-LITRE-FUEL-TANK-FOR-EBERSPACHER-WEBASTO-DIESEL-NIGHT-HEATER/121089270218?rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222002%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D19061%26meid%3D3747845933550464645%26pid%3D100005%26prg%3D8647%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D2%26sd%3D271132892632%26
