There is a yacht club established over a 100 yrs that welcomes visitors who do not have to belong to another club. They allow (and control) the use of absent members moorings F.O.C. They have a full service bar and restaurant that serves basic food until 11pm A bottled of Corona or most other beers will set you back a quid. Rum and coke 1.50 The launch runs until 11pm just tip the driver. Breakfast from 7am 7/7Free showers, free water if you go alongside at high tide. All within 10 miles of a major city and a short walk to shops and transport. Have I died and woken up in cruisers heaven? If not, where am I?

Over thisaway we have Arenal and the other one in Palma erm Reale? Anyway, no membership of another club needed, nor a launch. All within 5 miles of airport and 2 miles of Palm Old Town. Waiter service in the club, nice marble floors and free big swimming pool in season. Plus total lack of american-ness (burgers+coke sir? no alcohol, no smoking) and when you ask for any spirits they leave the bottle on the table.
