No Cowes Week fireworks?

That would / will be a shame. Possibly some sponsor will step in and come up with the necessary funds, or maybe not.

I guess we could all congregate off Cowes and let off out of date flares, I'm sure that would go down well........I'll get my coat.

When you work out how much the marinas collect over cowed week and the week before I'd say the marinas should put there hands in here pockets and contribute towards it, they make enough out the job.
 
This comes up every year doesnt it? i am sure i have seen this for the past few years...

i know one of the companies who have run this display for the last few years so if i get a second i will give them a call and find out the inside track...

my money is in a month or two someone will have found the money and the display will be back on but as always...

Howard, yes I am sure you are correct, probably some company wanting the council to chip in a bit and then will give green light.
 
Perhaps an idea to replace the fireworks. Pull together the rotting and abandoned boats from local marinas and estuaries, tie them together and set fire to them. It's a win win. Free fire ball and it provided a benefit by removing old crap heaps
