No boating this weekend then!

Not going anywhere near the boat at the moment as the kids are in the middle of their exams & don't need distractions. Hopefully it will be back to summer again by the end of the month as we have some catching up to do.:D

Just seen the F7/8 winds for the S coast - reckon in the gusts it will be horrid.

Another weekend messed up. Was planning and paid for in advance in Yarmouth on the walk ashore as we had some frosties with us. Gonna stay put at home - but i'm pleased that HM yarmouth haven't lost out though. You would think they could/ought/should offer some scheme that credits a cancelled booking for another - East Cowes does.

went out in an F5/6 last bankholl to cowes and to see the carrier USS George Bush... It took nearly 2hrs to get back from stokes bay....hohum

It was a bit breezy that weekend, I snapped this .........

30 knots, powered by twin nukes , 3500-6000 navy personnel, can start and end a war on its own !
I reckon it cost even more to build than jfm's boat

BTW

Note how calm the River gets at slack tide.
We were the only mobo in Shepherds that weekend, not bravery just a bit of passage planning.

Don't always believe what the weather man says, it's so unpredictable at the moment and unsettled, I have been watching the weather all week as I am out on my boat at the moment, it gave today as being really poor, it raknee heavily this morning for a short while in Yarmouth and the mist was rolling in but the solent was flat calm, decided to nip over to lymington and have been sat in the sun since we arrived at around 10am, a few clouds about and the wind has got up and is probably gusting at about 10-20k but It isnt as bad as it was forecast.

Don't give up on the weekend just yet.
