NMEA yet again

Anyone know what version of NMEA simrad are using at the moment ? I have a HD52 handheld DSC VHF and would like to connect it to the Plotter. Have left the instrustion book on the boat.

The current version is NMEA 0183 version 3.01 released Jan 2002. There are only minor differences between this and earlier versions, but major differences between NMEA 0180, NMEA 1082 and NMEA 0183.
