I have a hybrid NMEA 2k/0183/Seatalk set-up where everything ultimately ends up being displayed correctly on my B&G Vulcan device. If I want to install NMEA 2k 4” displays/screens as repeaters (one for depth/speed and one for wind), can anyone point me to a make/model where I can can configure what it displays from the NMEA 2k network? Cheers.

Raymarine i70, Garmin GMi20

Although if you like the presentation style of analogue wind displays (with a real moving pointer), then see if you can find a Raymarine i60 Analogue Wind (or two).

They will just plug into the NMEA2000 backbone (with the right cable) and just work..

Yes, it really was a windy day...

If power consumption is a concern, the simpler units eat less power than the fancy all singing all dancing ones. Going on the published specs, the Raymarine i50 tridata would display your depth+speed for 1/3 the power (and fewer pennies) than the i70s. The difference between the garmin gnx vs gmi looks even more.

I do wonder how long companies plan on keeping instruments current. The i70s has been out nearly a decade. Better / lower power components must have become available in that time.

Most of the power consumption is from the high brightness screen. Not much you can do about that.
