Nimbus prop needed.

Bit of a long shot this one, a friend had lost the prop of his 30' Nimbus and is stuck on the broads needing to get back to the gt.ouse.

The boat has a single volvo penta TAMD41b on shaft which I would assume to be 1.5" and had a 4 blade prop, he's still trying to find the size and pitch in his paperwork but was struggling with a soggy phone after taking a swim to check it.

If anyone has a nimbus and a spare prop they would be prepared to sell or lend please get in touch.

Nimbus 30'. You mean model 3003 or..? For that Nimbus stated 18 x 18.

Seem to be LH rotation on Nimbus which is a bit unusual on a single engine installation.

It's a 1991 31' ultima it seems and the gearbox is MS4a so I would assuem either rotation would do with a cable swap.

31 Ultima is 18x18 also.
310 Coupé had KAMD42 and 18x20.

LH or RH could be detected by watching the shaft when engaging fwd.

So if the old one did well (rpm and speed wise), there is no reason to look for anything else.

I replaced my prop a couple of years ago and kept the spare as a garden ornament. It would work as get you home. I've never couriered anything like this so please pm me with instructions if you want to borrow it. It's off a Nimbus 3003, 40mm shaft 18x18.

I may have an old one. I made my own when I replaced the prop and as I'm a bit of a hoarder, probably not binned the old one yet.

Found it. I Suggest stilsons for fitting ?. M20 x 2.5.

Sounds like the bail out plan is in place, many thanks to Colhel for helping my mates out of a predicament.
