Is this powerful enough to get ingrained crud off deck? it's 1700W, 130 bar and 380/440 litres per hour/7.3L per minute. Would also use it for driveway and car washing? It's as much as I'm prepared to spend (about £140 on ebay) but if it's a bit wimpy I'll have to hire a 4000psi one. it's just that I borrowed a cheapish Karchner once and it seemed a bit feeble - of course it could have been broken.

The general advice is not to use a pressure-washer on any non-slip deck areas as it's too easy to blast off the non-slip pimples and ruin the deck. With my decks that just about rules out the whole deck area. I don't have teak but you can't pressure-wash that either anyway.

I know about not pressure washing teak but my non slip is moulded in not painted on so I can't see jet washer removing it. However, on reflection I think the 4000 psi of the commercial jet washers could cause some damage on full power.

I haven't heard that about non-slip ? I've seen many people pressure was decks without issue anyway. Pretty much the only way to get the slime and weed of the hull too without many hours with a scouring pad...

Without checking in the shed, that nilfisk sounds about same spec as the one I bought this year and I've been thrilled with it. Obviously keep well away from teak but it does a great job of my nonslip grp deck which, even using the toughest scrubbing brush, was unable to shift ingrained dirt. I've found nilfisk to be far better than Karcher but maybe I've been unlucky...?
