looks as if the boys are becoming men unlike the rest of you wussie stinkies ... good news is that if red diesel is eliminated and diesel prices are the same across europe for both car & boat its going to be a lot cheaper to fill up the Volvo judging by the price I paid for fuel in St Vaast ..

Hang on Jimi I'm not quite there yet on this one and the guy moored beside us at Hythe is very concerned that if we change to sail he will get seagul droppings all over his Targa.

Lets put this time frame into perspective as it took me the best part of a year to work out what dinghy to buy....and Im now convinced I got that one wrong.

Please allow plenty of time for procrastination and possible (some may say inevitable) U turns.

Im laying low for a bit on this one.......

Just say no to Raggies.

There is till time to save yourself Nick.Imagine this scene. The wife will be long gone, you will be wandering furtively around some out in the sticks boat yard with no chandlery or latte shop, picking up bits and pieces of old rope/bits of copper and tins of half used anti-fouling to put in your old shopping trolley convinced they will come in useful at some point in the future.
You will frequently lapse into incoherant glaswegian and baths will be a distant memory as will the sweet perfume of diesel fumes.

Re: Just say no to Raggies.

Just think of the forum get togethers - you won't arrive until three days after they have finished!

AND there will come a stage when you think smoking a pipe looks sophisticated!

Tactful as ever Jim, but nevertheless Nick, do come on over to the darker side - you'll love it. However, you need to start practising now...after three:

1, 2, 3....

Re: Just say no to Raggies.

I feel sorry for Joanne and the kids, but I'm sure that if they rally around as a family (and then threaten him) they will all get through Nicks latest crisis.

It will be ditch crawlers next.
