I believe Kukri is a former JSSTC yacht, so would almost certainly have been crewed by Army personnel. The current owner used to be a regular on the forum particularly the East Coast Forum he used the name Kukri. He wouldn't have been on the 79 fasten but he will know a lot of the history of the boat. You might have better luck posting on the ECF and asking if anyone can put you in touch with him.
Do you mean the current owner?I am trying to track down the skipper and crew of the
Nicholson 55 Kukri from the 1979 Fastnet
Any help would be much appreciated.
Yes, in Bob Fisher's book on the disaster Kukri is listed as "Owned (sailed by)" "MoD (Army)". She had retired.I believe Kukri is a former JSSTC yacht, so would almost certainly have been crewed by Army personnel.

The current owner is a regular poster on the Wooden Boat Forum (He used to own a classic wood boat) I will give him a bell.
Contact the Joint Services AdventurousDo you mean the current owner?
Yes, but a contact. That's great, but I have a feeling that the OP isn't looking for general history of the boat, he's specifically looking for the people on it in the '79 Fastnet. Maybe a list of their names might help, but my spider sense is telling me he already knows who they are, he just wants to find them.

Current owner bought it off the MOD and says contact HMS Hornet, as 14K478 posted.Yeah, no quarrel with it, great thing to offer.
No - my father was. I'm trying to track down his fellow crew mates - I'd think they'll all be in their 80s by now.Just out of curiosity, what's your connection? Were you a crewmember?
