Nicholson 55 Kukri

The current owner used to be a regular on the forum particularly the East Coast Forum he used the name Kukri. He wouldn't have been on the 79 fasten but he will know a lot of the history of the boat. You might have better luck posting on the ECF and asking if anyone can put you in touch with him.

I believe Kukri is a former JSSTC yacht, so would almost certainly have been crewed by Army personnel.

I have a vague professional connection to Kukri and can get a message to him with a bit of luck. He's not been online here for a couple of years.

The current owner is a regular poster on the Wooden Boat Forum (He used to own a classic wood boat) I will give him a bell.

That's great, but I have a feeling that the OP isn't looking for general history of the boat, he's specifically looking for the people on it in the '79 Fastnet. Maybe a list of their names might help, but my spider sense is telling me he already knows who they are, he just wants to find them.

Do you mean the current owner?
Contact the Joint Services Adventurous
Sail Training Centre at HMS Hornet, Haslar Road, Gosport, PO12 2AQ, telephone 023 9276 5971
(and on Facebook)

They were the owners at the time.

I think she retired.

Just possibly the RORC might have a record given the notoriety of that event but the JSASTC would be the best bet.

Nobody else will have records.
