Nice pictures

Nordic Tug 37. I could probably add the name and home marina if it is the one I am thinking of ?

We tried to buy the 32 that was on the market for years in Scotland - it was asking silly money for a long time but reduced to a more reasonable level and we viewed it in January. We decided we wanted to buy it and put our S34 on the market but Covid slowed things down. When the deal was sealed on the S34 I called the Broker to make an offer only to find that they had just accepted an offer on the Nordic. A quick return to the drawing board led us to our Hardy Commodore 36, which with hindsight is probably a better option than the 32 given the increased accommodation on a 36 footer.

I am a fan of Nordics and really like the 37 ?

You are absolutely spot on Greg2, and home port is on the East coast, I've had the boat for about 3 years and have enjoyed every minute...

I think we may have met/spoken - Tidemill in August 2019 - we were the visiting S34 moored a few berths down from you. Just looked and I have a photo of our boat with yours close by - I have sent a PM

We looked at a 37 called ‘Pilgrim’ at Berthon in Lymington several years ago and I was quite taken with it. We also saw yours when it was moored in Lymington when we were viewing another boat. Very nice boats and well put together.

Thanks Sogood,
I’ll give you a shout. Yeah it’s a long way up the Kenmare River but worth it for a bit of cruising. I was down in 2019 and did the new marina in Bantry which was great. I’d like to spend 3 days cruising the Kenmare River. Is there plenty of depth at the Dromquinna jetties?
Most of Kenmare Bay is very tidal, especially as you come further up the bay towards Kenmare itself. Dromquinna is no exception. Access to the pier is best made from the south /seaward side, as you're coming up the bay. Trying to get access from the opposite (Kenmare) side can catch you out on slightly submerged rocks. Make sure you have charts or a plotter/sounder, as there are several places waiting to trip you up, like the perches. A long string of rocks, just below the surface, stretching out from the Iveragh side (Eastern side) extending to almost half way across the bay.
Kenmare itself usually has space to Moor up, free gratis. And if you're stuck, you can use my mooring, complete with tender!

Menton is cool place. We berthed there for one night last August. In fact our berth was in the gap between the 2 boats in your pic. The town was very lively at night with lots of bars and restaurants in the arches that you can see in the distance and further into town too. Definitely will go back

That Lambretta on the quay could have been my parents. One epic road trip in the 50s they got to an un discovered Fuengirola.

Here’s a few more from my favourite cruising area, Scilly. All taken in a very special anchorage, the Cove, between St Agnes and Gugh. Apart from the final pic, another very special anchorage, St Helens Pool, between Tresco and St Martins, probably a mile or so to each island from our boat. It may not look it, but it’s definitely the most sheltered all round anchorage in the islands.
The first pic also shows my sons former boat. It was previously owned and well cared for by another forumite.
