Thanks for the tip on the props - I might get some and try them out - whenever I fly, the next door Jack Russel goes bonkers - he can hear the drone about a mile away.

Regarding the 360 degree panoramas, I think I've found an easy way of viewing your own image.
I didn't understand what Pannellum meant when they said "stand alone" in their instructions.
I've had a little play and all it means is that they have a script where you can pass your own image.
All you then need to do is to upload one of the DJI 360 degree images from your phone (tablet in my case) to a CORS server (I use imgur.com)
Click on the uploaded image in imgur.com and you can then copy the "direct link" to the image inside imgur.com
Then add the "direct link" that you copied in imgur.com to the end of this URL:-
https://cdn.pannellum.org/2.4/pannellum.htm#panorama=

In my case, my main 360 degree image has a "direct link" inside imgur.com of https://i.imgur.com/okzOf6G.jpg

So, this is the full URL that you would paste into your browser:-
https://cdn.pannellum.org/2.4/pannellum.htm#panorama=https://i.imgur.com/okzOf6G.jpg
This is the same link - the forum software truncates the full URL in its display.

This will then launch your 3D image in your browser.
I might not have made it very clear but once you understand it, it is dead easy.
This should be a good way of emailing someone a 3D image that you have just taken with your drone.
Just build up the full URL from this https://cdn.pannellum.org/2.4/pannellum.htm#panorama= PLUS the URL to your image in imgur.com
And put the full URL into your email.

My Mavic has the low noise props..and yes it's pretty quiet. Where do you guys tend to land on the boat...I tried a cheap bugs on the front and it didn't handle the slope very well and each time it wanted to bounce forward and nearly landed in the water....the Spark takes off and lands from your hand, so I can just grab it while it's flying...but in the swell that was ok, but not ideal.

I usually land it on the front deck cushions, or alternatively just pick it from air. Wearing gloves is advisable. The props won't chop your finger off, but will cause a nasty looking hematoma. Or so I have been told .

On the boat, we mostly catch it (Mavic Pro) in our hands.
I can do it on my own but it is easier when SWMBO catches it whilst I control the sticks.
I once caught my finger in the props - and it hurt!!

The technique is to fly the drone down to a level where you can reach it.
Then the catcher makes a grab for the underside with the aim of holding the sides of the drone.
As you get your hand near the drone, the sensors see your hand and the drone tries to fly away so you have to be quick.
Once you have a grip of the sides, the process isn't over then.
You have to keep holding it whilst it tries to pull away and while you pull the stick down to shut the power off - takes about 2 seconds.
During this process the drone appears to growl - just keep holding it.
Once you have done this a couple of times it becomes easy but you need to be ready for it.

When I catch it on my own, I hold the controller against my chest with one finger on the throttle stick.
Then use my other hand to grab the drone.

I've probably made this all sound a bit dramatic - but it isn't that difficult and safer than landing on a small area with the danger of bouncing off.

When we flew the Phantom 3 a few years ago, we used to catch it by grabbing the landing skids.
Once, at sea, we couldn't understand why the drone was moving around so much. We had done this "catching" process lots of times.
It was just the two of us on board and the drone just wouldn't stay still enough to catch it.
When we eventually got it down, we realised the problem.
We had stopped the boat and were both looking at the drone - we didn't realise that one of the boat's throttle levers had gone into reverse.
So the drone wasn't moving - it was the boat underneath and we were out of sight of land so neither of us had that spatial awareness that the boat was spinning around.
It is all fun in the end!!
