Next time you're thinking of buying a BMW...

I read somewhere that US influence on design of BMW was stopped recently ... ? That design had returned to Germany ?

Interesting that links - some are back in time ... 2008 ... 2004 ...

Still don't like that blue - regardless of what they say it stands for !

Ah but then....

Wonder if it will fall into the same Designer category of the "Off-Road" X series cars ... where they profess to be 'serious' off-roaders but in fact are extremely comfortable overpowered heaps of junk off-road ... maybe the boats - professed to be serious fast passage makers will end up in same 'ditch' !! :D:D:D:D:D:D;);););););)

the world is full of people with indifferent driving skills upon whom the precision and balance of an "M" BMW's handling is wasted. Such people gravitate to Jaguars, Mercedes, Volvos, Range Rovers, Discos or Lexii which skillfully cover up their shortcomings like cake make-up applied by the trowel-full to an old tart's face. looks like a good boat to me but for the Med. i'd do without the teak decks.
Chas on Kentrina's login so not necessarily her point of view

My point was the X series cars - not the M's ... I have respect for M-Power, even for the M3 - now that they've decided to do a 3 properly instead of the sewing machine it used to be !

Consider the X came about from BMW's liason with Rover ( Land Rover ) ... they may have got the engine and interior right - but the off-road bit ? Sorry - jokes a joke !

Exactly ... it's a Beamer !! True to form. If there were marine traffic lights - it would be dodging lanes all over the place .. making sure it was in front of you .... if not then at least fag-paper distnace from your stern ... ignoring harbour speed limits and cutting everyone up .... :D

No No No!!

the

s used to drive beemers after they grew out of XR3i's.

but now every

is in an Audi. Must be true, Clarkson said so.

Also evidenced my the fact that I have 2 BMW's (6 wheels total) and my wife has an Audi!

And that boat might actually be nice, but who can tell in that horrible colour. It's even got tumblehome albeit angular, cars are having angular versions of 70s designs too.

In my experience, the Beemer has been well and truely overtaken in this respect by the Audi! When can we expect VAG ti foray into serious yachting?
