Newbridge navigator outboard size

I currently have the above to sell. Looking into the outboard well i see the mount for the outboard is very low to the water and wonder if it should take a lomg or short shaft ?

Brings back memories of testing the new Seagull 110 in the Newbridge demonstrator. Not a success as the exhaust fumes in the well choked the motor.
