Last year i twice went the chandlers to buy bits , then weeks later find some in another space. So i am going to go through every box and cupboard and list where stuff is . Now where did i put that list. What have you said you are going to do.

Lose the gut. I keep getting trapped in the engine bay and yesterday the marine engineer couldnt stop giggling as he watched me wriggle to the steering ram. If he wasnt so sprightly I'd have fed him down the exhaust elbow to check for corrosion. 33 to a 38 over Covid :(

That gut is just one of your chins , slipped down .

If you had another memory cell it would be lonely! As part of my slimming down resolution bad company and boozers are also off limits. I dont need them consuming my rations.

The transition of my waistline took many years and I actually lost weight in 2020 as a consequence of being more active during Covid (less commuting and more ‘lockdown Labour’ as SWMBO had me turned too whenever I had a spare moment from work). 2021 saw a sneaky increase so my resolution is to work on the waist….again!

Up or down??

Great i can look forward to my fridge staying stocked. Now you have become a Marina QUEEN you are trying to keep up with flybridge boys , you will need yellow wellies for when you wash the boat , you will be getting new teeth like quakers next and drink Cockburns.

Back on topic…

My NY resolution is to leave one of my ribs afloat all year. Went down the marina before Christmas, lovely sunny day, a raggy sailing by, high tide. It would have been too much work to get the big boat fired up solo, but I could have gone for the idea of brewing some chocolate up and pottering out on rib.

I did this the previous winter. Thought I'd make up for Covid and only getting to launch in August, only to get slapped down by another Wales lockdown. I am rather grateful I wasnt in the water this winter. Lots of boats got damaged in the storms

Sorry Guvnor , I hadn't realised I had strayed into this exclusive forum.

No need to call the cops, I'll just grab a couple of them lobster sandwiches then I'm on me way.
