Congrats on realising a lifelong dream. She looks great and certainly doesn't seem to show her age. Like yourself, I'm waiting on the weather to improve so I can make my maiden splash in my "new to me" boat. Enjoy!!
Wow - that's a fantastic boat! That's a quick step up, but I can see why you switched again so soon. Will very much look forward to seeing her in the Bay :encouragement:
Actually I was as surprised as Bouba, because I've never seen that solution in any similar size Princess in the Med.I'm fairly sure the Cooney crane was a standard option, I have seen it on a couple of boats that we viewed. It's a very neat and tidy way of adding tender handling.

In fact, while I agree that it's perfect for tender handling, it restricts from installing a passerelle, which is a must in the Med, and can work also as a tender crane anyway.
I'd be surprised it they didn't produce the same model with a passerelle instead of a crane.
Regardless, she looks stunning, and at first sight I would have guessed that she was much younger - congratulations! :encouragement:
Congratulations Sprocker, Princess 40 is a great boat. I looked at a couple myself, ended up with the 45, but i do think the 40, 42, 45 are great looking boats that are very well made, and still hold their values well.
Was yours listed as i dont recall seeing her on the main boat sales sites. There was also another nice one on onemarine site in Torquay, but was quickly sold. I do like the option of the hidden crane as opposed to the passerelle. Crane seems popular option on the 40, but i havent seen it on the 42 or 45.
The engines in yours (Tamd63) are a very good match for the boat. Im guessing on sea trials she hit the magic 30 knots.
Happy boating days ahead, enjoy :encouragement:
