I think there was an article on the product in New Scientist a few weeks ago. It seems based on the sort of porous crystals that have been used as molecular sieves for some decades, but much improved. It may take much energy to power the dehumidification cycle, but in the sort of arid desert being targeted there can be lots of solar energy if there is also lots of money to buy this tech!Rather annoying, even when you go to their website and negotiate several doom loops you are no closer to understanding what their nano structures do or what low grade ambient energy is. Nice slick website though.
Just take the door off a freezer, the compartment is all plastic.Heavy metals leached from soldered joints IIRC.
The context was aircon condensate, which I have used in engines and batteries, but would only drink on dire emergencyJust take the door off a freezer, the compartment is all plastic.
As have I, however I would never consider drinking it, ( well under normal circumstances) however the ice in a freezer compartment has possibley not suffered any metallic contamination. The context was aircon condensate, which I have used in engines and batteries,

Nor,one hopes, has water from Highland stream running off granite, or Evian from the supermarket, or water from a space cspsules fuel cell, or water straight from the Nile that I drank on a weeks fellucca trip, or rsin water caught in a sail or awning, or solar distillate, or jerrican distillate, but those werent the context of the post I was replying to eitherAs have I, however I would never consider drinking it, ( well under normal circumstances) however the ice in a freezer compartment has possibley not suffered any metallic contamination.
