Starting today 9.30pm a new dedicated boating channel - Discover boating . Sky channel 192 and others.

According to my Sky box it's a single 30 min programme... followed at 2200 by a Cary Grant film then World Poker tour at 2300... Doesn't seem like a boating channel thus far :ambivalence:

It's not a "channel" it's a "program"
192 is Showcase tv, where anyone can rent a space to show just about anything.
This evening we have a half hour "caravan channel" then a half hour "motorhome channel" etc,
So we have a half hour single program about boating. well it's a start, but definitely not a "channel"
At least it's free to air, so no need to pay for it.

Well it seemed to consist of a lady who likes the sound of her own voice.
Claiming to be an introduction for beginners it throws in phrases without any explanation ie. check a boat is antifouled and winterised - great, is a beginner expected to know what this means? If its not aimed at a beginner then everything else is too basic for an existing boat owner. Plus the statements such as "do not use household cleaners such as Cif, use specialist cleaners" which was the surprise statement from a.......chandlery owner.

What a waste of 30 minutes of my life. Half way through it changes to 'cooking with Emily' ? A plug for the presenters other website and then back to the boating show.
At least she had life jacket on.
