I've pick'd up small floats in that area before now. It'll more than likely have a WH number on it. Theres not a lot you can do about it. Most of the fishermen down that way are not the sort you'd like to have an argument with. Do what I do and put it down to experience.

Acshully the WH number means it belongs to Weymouth Hotels. Basically they are public pots, which means you can pick them up and remove the contents, paying for it on arrival to Weymouth.

It is a great system which I think should be adopted countrywide

A bit of help to you, If you get the boat lifted , take photoes of the hull and where all the fittings are, also the state of the props, any damage on the hull , that type of thing, comes in very usfull if you are trying to trace a leak or need to replace anything ,or unblock something,

Also fun to have!

Re: The real Shaw Taylor

...does have a boat, last time i saw it was in hamble point. He also has a powered catamaran. This was both 6 years ago. Can't imagine they would have been sold cos they were both utterly shite. Which just goes to show - there's no money in being a snitch.

Re: snitchying

too many peeps on that boat for me. When i heard talk of sharing the converted saloon berth, i decided that perhaps they had quite enough crew and I didn't need to be in cherbourg this w/e too urgently.

Re: snitchying

that's where the 23:45 ferry comes into play. Arrive Sat am. Play in Cherbourg, then leave on Zefender Sat midnight with night watches. No cosy berth sharing with strange raggies

I'll prob do an all night on deck, as not much keen on cosy raggie sleeping arrangements ;) Come on, It'll be fun

You should soon find out if the props bent. The minute you start the engine, weel put it in gear, anyway. It will either jump about like a demented frog. Or not.
