My boat needs a new sprayhood for next season.

Any suggestions as to the best place adjacent to the Blackwater to get a new one made, please?

ther is a chap on Canvey who done a hood on an Oyster 39 a few weeks ago the owner was more than pleased.

Jeckyls did a very nice one for Vela Rose a year or two before we sold her. It fitted beautifully and looked great - all delivered on time and at a decent price.

My boat has one from Gowen's of West Mersea. It came with the boat so I can't comment on the fitting process, but it's very nice quality.

Dolphin

We had a new one made by Dolphin last year. Looks a treat.
Top quality and pleasantly surprised by the price.

They went the extra mile and came to the boat, measured, discussed the requirements, suggested adaptations to the existing frame, etc...

Getting a new wheel and pedestal cover from them too.
Recommended.

Dolphin and Gowen are the same company... I bought my jib from Gowens, but paid Dolphin....

Made a spray hood and zip-on cockpit enclosure for my Dehler 35. Three visits to the boat. Good quality (even better than original), brilliant service and better price that the other 4 who quoted -one or two others couldn't be bothered

Apart from that, not much going for 'em.

Came down to our boat yard for a measure and quote.
Price was agreed.
Came back after, and fitted all.

Fair price, good service.
Job done...

Had a new sprayhood and cockpit cover this spring. They came, measured, returned, fitted, adjusted, returned again and insisted that i did not pay until i was completely satisfied. they did a sterling job, and i now have a perfectly fitting sprayhood with no wrinkles or creases anywhere. they also suggested a couple of modifications that i would not have thought of. price was not the cheapest, nor most expensive. middle of the road price for an excellent job.
