I seam to do nothing but wash and polish my old girl. The oil refinery at Calshot and the Southampton airport do not help. Does anyone know of a professional system I can use to start the season with a good shine? Or get a company to do it for me?

You could try one of these Valeting companies, I noticed the other week that one our company uses to clean the company vehicles also does caravans and boats! But we are based on the Wirral so not too local to yourself I guess !!

Happy New Year

The system I use is Faracle G3 rubbing compound applied with an electric polisher (the slow angle grinder looking one) followed by Autoglym super resin polish. Brings a great shine without too much expense. Pal with a similar aged boat did his a great expense with Aglaze and at the end of the season mine was shinier. I expect there will be conflicting posts here but it works for me. Good luck! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I have just had Power Marine and Auto of Poole polish the hull on my boat when I had her lifted. Never had anyone do this before. My God the difference is unbelievable, so much so that the top half now looks terrible. Now I have got to save up to have the top half polished for the start of the season.
Again not local to you but they are good and they gave me the lowest price out of the three I talked to.

I have sent you a PM with the contact details of a boat valet service company called 'Boatmate' who have an office near you on the South Coast. Hope this is of help.
