Saw this one at Cowes at the weekend. Couldn't be 100%, but the serial number looked to be late 2004 build, and number "05" off the line. Which isn't 25 built so far. Impressive presence from a 2m tender, tho.
It's said you can't buy happiness: the owner of this one looked fairly pleased with himself, and not in any way miserable...
Ah, an actual sighting. First one I've heard of. The "05", if the last 2 digits of the HIN, means 2005 model year, not hull #5 off the line. So there might not even be 5 built!
The one in your pic has beige flybridge pvc seats and Raymarine gear, which proves nothing but is consistent with it being the 2005 LIBS boat, which was hull #2 or 3 afaik
I screwed up: I should have taken a shot of the HIN in it's entirety (not easy with a 2m tender, a digital slr, a current, water taxis galore, and the yacht next door getting rather suspicious of why I am showing so much interest in the transom).
Instead I now know it was an 05 model, and no idea of how many built.
no chance of listening very much i'm afraid - they give a better impression of listening than say f'line who aren't in quite such need at this level anyway and now thiv got their loot there's definitely no need to speak to horrid nasty customers again.
The extreme opposite of big sealines are some of the eyeties like ferreti/pershing where the primary style and layout are cuttingly sharp-hotel-suite smart (sometimes a bit TOO smart with glass tables but no matter - still smart) and "all of a piece" - the sealine feels far more homebuiderish with ooh i know i could make this do that etc half way through the design - and enthusiastic and well meaning tho it is , i beleive that this does happen with far less positive results on larger boats.
The t50 looks quite acceptable on the outsdie tho - cos you can't [--word removed--] about with that and fit any birdseye maple-effect fablon to it, can ya? Whcih brings us to another big-sealine failing, being the choice of material which is between nasty and gag awful - get rid of birdseye maple, fake teak, cheap-looking big-tufted carpets where you can see through as its is rolled of stairson the stairs! However, none of this will help cos the t60 already costs MORE than a sq58 so erm, not too many get sold i spose.
All agreed. Material and finish choices is perhaps biggest failing on T60. The bathrooms are terrible - think 1973 Sprite caravan. And those painted mild steel overhead handrails in saloon with exposed phillips screws - think bus. Ugh, dont start me on this again......
The T60 hull #011 was delivered (to me) in late december 2005.
I'm happy with it. It's really better than the Aicon 56 (2004 build) I had before.
You can really live this boat, there is a lot of space inside for storage and entertainment; the bathrooms are huge compared to Aicon; and you have 3 bathrooms with three shower-room.
The crew-cabin looks worst than Aicon's or Azimut55's, but IMHO is more functional and easy to clean (but a shower is missing): I will tell more after the summer.
hi massiweb. Where do you keep it (I assume Med, as you had an Aicon before..?). Is yours the new one in Baie Des Anges Marina, on the left as you enter the port?
Hello.
My T60 (still no name on it) is in Genoa - Italy, at Marina Porto Antico.
She was delivered 08.12.2005 in Sanremo and then we went with the dealer's staff to Genoa in very rough sea: we were a little bit scared and it took almost a 6 hours trip instead of 3, but we arrived without problems. It was a real test of sea keeping abilities...
I'm happy with the fuel consumption. The T60 has the same motors than the Aicon56 (Cat 811) and even if the T60 is a little bigger, the fuel rate is lower (about 15 L/h less per motor at 26 knots).
I saw hull #1 in Genoa Boat Show in 2004 and I was not sure about the boat's quality (aicon's furniture was so better...), but next year, hull #8, winch was showed in Genoa 2005, was a big step further, and that's why I decided to trade up my Aicon56.
Italian sealine dealer had hull #8 (and mine, #11, too) built on their specifications, so they choose colors, materials and finishes... Their choices made a huge difference between the first model and the latter.
For example the small sofa in the master cabin is in brown leather and so the vanity sitting (which "in and out" system was better engineered); the lower helm station is in a very good looking red leather (it's better than beige I had on Aicon, because the light is not "mirrored" on the top and visibility is improved); the fridge door wood is the same than the rest of the saloon.
Furthermore, they delivered my boat with Missoni's bed linens, towels and 2 big "candle-totem decoration".
In Portosole - Sanremo there are two other T60 that was sold by the Italian dealer before mine.
The T60 that is in Marina Baie des Anges, perhaps, is the one that was shown in Cannes2005: the Italian dealer showed me the pictures, and the finishes were more conventional (except for the dining table chairs: they were really nice).
Last weekend was still raining... I hope I could go out in the sea next week, this should be better than stay in the marina!
Here some pics:
That is a very nice Mobo. I can see why you are so excited and proud. What tender did you go for and what is the latest tender set up on a T60? Only nosey because that is the only bit I can afford,
Thanks you! So my english can be read... at least!
It's hard to write in english about boats and technical details!
My tender (not yet in place) is a Lomac 300LX: it's a 3mt long inflatable rib, with center console, powered with a 4 strokes 20hp honda.
This is not a brand new tender... In fact I took it away from my old Aicon56, because the dealer was not likely to pay me an extra for leaving it on!
One of the two T60 in Sanremo has a zodiac 3,50 mt, but it fits the whole bathing platform, so I think that bigger is not possible.
Next summer I will use the Lomac, but I will look forward (next season?) to get a Williams 320 jet (like Magnum's one)...
Maybe, because it's much more expensive (about 17.000 Euros, whilst the lomac+honda package was only 7.500 in may 2004).
Well I have to say its looks absolutely splendid. Congatulations and enjoy.
I was on a Princess 61 yesterday with my staff having been hired to clean the inside, and I have to say contrary to certain opinions, the Sealine finish looks every bit as good.
Oh and you have a full beam master cabin with flash eliptical type windows.
The best I can get from Sealine, is immediatly assistance, becuase the italian dealer is near my town.
With Aicon, it was impossible ta get any help, and I had to pay someone else for warranty labour!.
And I really like the gally layout and dining table layout in the bateau; the chef may works with others guests in an unique whole space. And when your meal is finisched, you can go up in the saloon looking at the big tv or at the paysages around the big windows,
Otherway, you mat soent time in the cockpit; with SECS it's huge!
