That's an awesome performance. It get's you thinking what time they will achieve for the circumnavigation.

Sub 55 days perhaps ?

Early days yet though....

See Ellen back on track again but I think Golding is now in a procession to the finish and the places won't change. Hope I'm wrong.

Find this very difficult to believe though you don't expect YW to get it wrong. As Stingo says the current speed sailing record is 46.82 knots set by a winsurfer over a 500m course.

Perhaps KIM could investigate this one?

On the news page it says that during an 18 hour period they were averaging 27 knts so 650 miles in 24 hours is more like it.

Still going some though...
