Scrubbed the boat at Levington Sat morning and after what seemed an agonisingly long wait for the tide to return and lift me off the grid at 1400h O' clock pm , I joined the rest of the multitudinous throng exiting the Orwell for a blast out past Felixstowe. (poor choice of the word blast!! in view of a missing UXB at Felixstowe)

As I came up to the Orwell End of the Trinity Container Berths I espied a new mooring bouy? - that appeared to be moving across the channel towards Shotley???

As I got closer, said mooring bouy? was being towed by a swimmer !!!! surely doing the Orwell equivalent of crossing the M25 in the rush hour !!!!!!!!
Good breeze so I was doing about 7.5kts along with several other rapidly moving outbound yots not to mention all the inbound traffic, some under spinnakers or the even more rapidly moving mobos, ribs and commercial vessels. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif How nothing hit him/her gawd only knows.

Swimmer appeared to have some of those webbed gloves so maybe this is considered practice for swimming the Channel?

You should have come along and helped me with my boat chores! That would have relieved the boredom!

I'm only a little way away from the scrubbing grid at Levington. Might have given you a cuppa and a slice of cake.
