Hi,

Well, about to finalise purchase of our first yacht (pending mast repairs this week at Levington), and will be berthed at Woolverstone. Loads of stuff to learn & hoping to call on the wealth of experience out there to make this a year to remember! The few folk we have met at Woolverstone & Levington have been friendly & helpful so we are looking forward to our first season with gusto, even though we have got lots of hard work ahead!

So, if you see newbies in your marina over the coming months, please say hi...:)

Woolverstone

The best pieceof advice we had when we berthed our first boat at Woolverstone three years ago was to watch out for the tide through the pontoons in the first two hours of the ebb. We still avoid departing or arriving at that time, especially on springs.

Hi and welcome. Is it really five years since I bought Seaspray? Those first few trips were so much fun. (The following hundreds have been great too :)

You'll have a great time based around the Orwell - loads of places to sail to and see.

Plenty of criminals and reprobates around too - watch out for pirates in July (dates anyone?).

thanks

For all the replies. We look forward to being waved at prodigiously by all and sundry:)

We have a beneteau 351 'sae r'os' and hoping to get to woolverstone on 11th April.

See you soon!

How super!

I remember how excited (and terrified) we were on our first voyage (about 2 miles under engine) and our second (when we got those white flappy things up), and ... and our first venture out of the river ... and so many lovely moments.

Then with the second boat - very nearly exactly one year ago - all that excitement was repeated.

Looking forward to meeting you - we do venture up your way quite often.

One of my Ex's Dad used to own SeaSpray :)

Dates coming shortly..... just got the tides to sort, so that we don't have HW in middle of evening, ruining bonfire, and if possible (to keep CliveG happy) avoiding British Grand Prix weekend, and all will be announced in a fanfare!

I presume you mean the boat - not me!...

Well, she was a RHYC boat when I bought her, and the owner before that was RHYC and I see you're RHYC too. We're down at Shotley nowadays - stop by if you see us!

Yes indeed, sorry I should point out I am 22, not some 66 year old pervert.
