Billcowan............where do you source the parafil??

Well it was 10 years ago, I got a huge drum of it on ebay, very cheap, looked like it was 'liberated' from somewhere, I did several boats with it.

Apologies for exhuming this thread - what kind of dyneema composition would be more appropriate for the application above - given the brummel splices etc.

D12 (braided) or something like Braid on Braid? I'm needing to plonk a gate on for the wife and might as well replace the lines too whilst at it. (No issue with splicing either type as I do all my own, but wondered if there was a firm favourite for feel).

12 strand for the modified brummel splice would get my vote. Marlow D12 max is amazing stuff though not the cheapest.
