new heat source

just bought a halogen heater for the winter.seems a bargain.
almost impossible to catch fire and anti-tilt device which turns it off over 60 degrees.
any coments ?

How much electricity does it need?

Do you run it in conjunction with a de-humidifer?

its a 1200 w on 240 supply.no dehumidifier though.
the heat is instant on a choice of 1,2, or 3 bars and it cools almost as quick.
cost about 8p per hour per bar.
i havent tried it yet but i am hopeful of a snug winter. i want it to maybe top up the boats own heat when the weather really gets tough.
