Can we have a raggie chat forum so that the raggies have got somewhere to go as well to complain about the mobo posts about colregs on Scuttlebutt? /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

I think it has been tried before!

Sailing Today did one once and that turned into political debate.

SB in both forms old and new keeps going all Flag Etiquette and ColReg for Stinkies.

Why not be radical, start posting sailing chat on the MoBo forum??

interesting response to a completely non judgemental post that simply stated he found the thread interesting.

that others who had significantly contributed in the post chose to reitterate their views was not a product of the post, and clearly not the forum (as individuals were on both)

Sorry, Sorry, Sorry, Sorry, Of course I should have realised only salors are allowed to be interested in discussions about our sport, bit like the RYA cruising Committee and even, and of course, out on the water. Very sorry, consider my wrist duly smacked!!

I really must learn to remeber my station in life.

No wonder theres a problem out there! Rant Over!
He's got me going now!! Its not good for me you know.

Interesting reply.

My post was a gentle poke at some people (and I wouldn't have included you funnily enough) who seemed to prefer to withdraw and continue the debate where they might be expected to find only people of a similar opinion, rather than to continue the debate in a broader forum. It just seemed to indicate that they felt an inherent weakness in their argument.

I too found the thread interesting and informative, in no small part because of the number of posters from both disciplines.

I think your response is more indicative of the cause of the "problem out there" (your perception - not mine). And that is a smack on the wrist! /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

I think that your restaurant.....

...is marvellous.
Best eatery in the whole West End and you can always expect to meet at least a minor celeb. Very relaxed atmosphere and the wine list is very reasonable.

We are dining there tomorrow night.

As to your suggestion of a seperate forum: can't agree. Next someone will be suggesting one for ketches or fractional rigs.

It ain't broke so let's leave it unfixed.

Stick to catering!

Re: I think that your restaurant.....

It's no good buttering me up thinking you might get a free meal tomorrow night - no connection with the restaurant - it's the name of my boat.
