Finally it's here :). Launch event is tonight, sadly I can't make it. However, I've just been sent a pic of it being unloaded and it's an absolute beauty. I'm sure there will be more photos floating around later today.

Brochure says the diesel variant has tiny 2 x Volvo Penta D3-220 diesel, sterndrive (440hp)
33 knots (est. max.).
What is it with Mancini and FL,s newer diesel modals ( tbh it’s hard to work out who’s responsible) and lack lustre performance.

The only thing I can think of it’s ( and the GTO 63 ) got a flat aft section for high lift ,ie minimal dead rise allowing weaker engines to give the performance figures .
Weaker engines are usually smaller lighter occupy less space , smaller tankage and other accommodation loving advantages.

Problem shakes out quite literally in chop , the things bounce about being light weight with a lower than relative competitors dead rise.
By that time the owners funds are in FL,s account :)

Some experienced Med boaters will want fixed sunpads at the back or turned around not want to phaff with a convertible table and infill cushions.
You need shade too from the Bimini sometimes when sunbathing a fwd / bow cushion only on a small boats can’t do that

So when it’s time to eat the convertible rear Sun pad has to be put back to seats + table ?

A permanent bathing platform makes boarding easy with Med mooring .
None passerelle boats usually fit a step to climb down , get on and off .
To all the Med boaters on here can someone kindly explain how to get on it , or off if it’s in your marina .Finger pontoon guys exempt, I can figure that one out :).

If you want to go fast then buy the 860hp petrol engines. If you want to get off and on then get a step fitted to the quay. If you want shade then buy the T Top version.

At 33ft there are bound to be conpromises.

I'm sure it's big sister when it comes along will solve some of them at a price.

The engine options are a bit odd, there's only one diesel option and it only gives you 33 knots max, if you want faster you have to have petrol engines

Yeh I know about steps but then what ?
Finish this sentence .....

Arrive at the boat step down the step(s) .......[ Pete insert exactly how you get on ]

Am sure fairline know what they are doing! Had a sea trial of the squadron 68 last month and even though it wasn’t quite finished def went to the top of my list for sub 70ft flybridges!

Errr you step onto the bathing platform.

So the now permanently submerged transom ( as it’s now rotated to extend the BP ) needs antifoul ?
And it’s underneath mechanism like weeks / months of total submersion ?
Or if turned up / rotated close the boats positioned in its berth so far out the marina staff start a row about inappropriate boat L paid , ie it’s not fitting in its sub 10 M or what ever .

Once out of warranty owners are looking @ extra expense with that rotating transom into a BP .

How do you get on it if ( for what ever reason ) the transom fails to rotate ?

Med boaters are gonna run for hills .
Or walk next door @ boat shows to this

I hope you are right....

Here is a nice video of the 65 (63 was renamed) https://youtu.be/wd4P7TFPpAc

Price is competitive.
Porto, Fairlines have never been performance boats. The most performance boat they ever might have made I remember is the Targa 38 GTO with twin 400hp D6s and stern drives which goes above 40 knots. Can't think of a faster Fairline then this.

If you want a performance marquee you look at Magnum, Pershing, AB Yachts, Alfamarine, the Abbate brothers, Chaudron (Maltese Powerboat maker), Cigarette, Donzi, Fountain any one of these has much more pedigree then all the the three Brits combined.
I mean even the idolized Hunton has not won much in real world racing.
